As Good as It Gets

27 May

We’ve finished!! Well, for now at least. It’s the little details that are the hardest to get done sometimes. Despite this, we’ve already put it to good use!

Isn’t she beautiful?!?!

We still need to install the shelves on the far right shoe space, but that’ll have to be for another day. We’re planing to have 2 more shelves over there; we still have to cut one (we ran out of wood) and by the time we got to that point, we needed a bit of a break. We’re in no hurry to have it done, so who knows when we’ll actually get to it.

The baskets and bins on the left aren’t permanent- we’re still trying to figure out what we need for storage. I borrowed the gray metal ones from the laundry area- that’s our wrinkle release peaking out. I kind of like the way that looks, so I may be finding something new for the laundry stuff! The white bucket could also use a coat of spray paint in a fun color to make it stand out. It’s kind of boring to have too much white on white, right? I love the fun colors of the one on top so I’ve got a few to pick from!

Despite all the little things that need to be done, for the sake of our sanity, we’re going to call this project done!

We also got another project done this weekend. No pictures to share, but the pantry is officially completed! The baseboards, door trim, and shelf all got painted today! Yay!

What’s next, you ask? We are in the process of figuring out our front porch make-over. We will definitely be replacing the handrails- likely with some composite material that is low maintenance. The floor, on the other hand, has been more challenging to finalize. So, we will see how it all pans out this summer. I’m looking forward to upping the curb appeal. Finally!

Double yay for keeping this much shorter than the last one! Adios.
