Fully Functional!

26 Jul

How can it be it’s been nearly 3 months since I stopped in with progress on our half bathroom. The summer has literally flown by and I cannot believe we are just a handful of days away from August. August?! How in the heck did that happen. Somehow it does not surprise me that it’s been about 6 months from when we started talking about this bathroom remodelΒ to being able to fully use the bathroom.

It was not always easy, but we did cross the last essential “to do” item off the bathroom list this weekend. While the toilet went in a long time ago, we struggled with a leaking sink, drawers that somehow wouldn’t fit (even though they fit just fine the week before), and a pop-up sink drain that wouldn’t work. We rectified the leaking sink and the broken drawers (although the drawers are still hit or miss on whether they’ll cooperate….), but the pop-up drain is still a no go for some reason. Fortunately that feature isn’t really all that necessary in this bathroom! All that’s really left is to figure out the art on the wall situation, but that will come with time. Without further ado, here’s a nice Before and After:

And just a couple other views:

We are definitely getting closer to making this whole house feel like home to us! With the start to football season just around the corner, I’m not sure how many other house projects we will tackle yet this year, but you know I’ll keep you posted for sure!

Hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

What a difference between the before and after. Looks great. I am bringing a fair amount of art work home from the courthouse. Next time you are in Mayville you and Mike will have to see if any would work out for you. I continue to be amazed at all you and Mike have done to the house. John
